Advertisers may provide digital files on CD, electronically via e-mail (files less than 5 MB) or via our FTP site (send a request for FTP site instructions to e-mail address.) uses a Macintosh or PC platform. Give your files descriptive names that are easily understood. All fonts, graphics and photos used in your ad must be included in your electronic file. We cannot accept picture taken from internet with low resolution.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR
We accept files in Illustrator CS. If you have a newer version, please “save as” down to this version.
All fonts must be outlined. Don’t forget to include “nested” images (an Illustrator file will contain .eps
or .tif, for example) when you send your electronic file.
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
All photos must have a resolution of 300 dpi and be exact size of the ad space. All colors used must
be converted to CMYK. All photos used in Illustrator documents should be placed at 100%. Save all
photos as flattened EPS (.eps), TIFF (.tif ) or JPEG(.jpg) files.
FONT ISSUES
Fonts should be placed in a separate folder with the screen and printer fonts together in the same folder (screen fonts are contained within the suitcase). We can only accept Mac PS or OpenType fonts.
PROOF MUST BE PROVIDED FOR ALL ADS
Please provide a color proof produced when you submit new color ad material; without such a proof, we cannot be held responsible for color control. Acceptable proofs include the Kodak Approval, Epson 10000 or Kodak Matchprint. We cannot accept color inkjet laser output from desktop printers for color matching.
BLEED
Image area not intended to trim must be 15mm from bleeds. Material intended to bleed must be furnished with a minimum of (5mm) image area beyond trim. On anything less than 5mm bleed, publisher cannot guarantee consistent bleed.
